Description:
The first drops of rain always bring a smile on our faces.'Rainy Season’ or ‘Monsoon’ the beautiful season of the year is a gift of God to mankind. It revives our souls and fills the surroundings with the beauty of fresh greenery. To acknowledge this blessed gift of God; the Pre Primary teachers of Little Scholars Senior Secondary School provided vital information to the tinytots regarding the Monsoon Season. The students were informed about the Monsoon months and the festivals which fall in this season. To rejoice the coming of Monsoon the tinytots of Little Scholars Senior Secondary School celebrated the Monsoon Festival 'Harela'.As we all know Harela is a Hindu festival celebrated annually in the month of July in Kumaon region of Uttrakhand. Harela is a festival of peace, prosperity, greenery, and environmental protection. The festival symbolizes a new harvest and the rainy season. Thus Little Scholar Senior Secondary School's Pre-Primary Wing embraced nature's blessings with Harela Celebration through different activities!
On the occasion of Harela, our school organized a plantation drive for classes from Nursery to class 2 in which students planted medicinal plants, ornamental plants & kitchen garden plants.Students of Kindergarten enjoyed a nature walk where they were familiarized with the parts of the plants & importance of plants. .The tinytots also enjoyed tree plantation & terms like pick axe,Sapling, water can, soil were familiarized during plantation .A special assembly was held by class 2 A in which the tinytots performed an action song & recited poetries regarding Go-green & gave speech on Harela. The students took a pledge to promote Go-green & decided to plant a sapling on their each birthday.
