Co-Scholastic Activity (Monsoon Special Activity HARELA by Pre Primary Wing-)
To rejoice the coming of Monsoon the tinytots of Little Scholars Senior Secondary School celebrated the Monsoon Festival ' HARELA '.15th July 2024 was observed as GREEN DAY for the tinytots of Little Scholars. Students came dressed in green casuals .They planted saplings in earthern pots.The green food stuff brought by them in their tiffins added flavour to the Harela celebration. The tinytots were familiarized with the importance of plants.As we all know Harela is a Hindu festival celebrated annually in the month of July in Kumaon region of Uttrakhand. Harela is a festival of peace, prosperity, greenery, and environmental protection. The festival symbolizes a new harvest and the rainy season. Thus the Pre Primary Wing of Little Scholars Senior Secondary School embraced nature's blessings with Harela Celebration through different activities!
On the occasion of Harela, our school organized a PLANTATION DRIVE for classes from Nursery to class 2.During plantation they were familiarized with the terms like pick axe,Sapling,Water can,Soil,Earthern pot etc .Certain Harela Special Craft ativities were conducted for the tinytots.Students spoke on topic 'Go-green' & 'Harela'.The students took a pledge to promote Go-green.
