Description: Indeed it's a pleasure for the school to share the results of the #RESEARCH_BASED_HOLIDAY_HOMEWORK, which had now taken the shape of a book, which we had named #MAHAPRASTHAN- A REFLECTION... Let's read about that story of our students' diligency.....which is even depicting the history of Kashipur❤️ . It is as follows: "The life of a human evolves slowly. Some focus on health, some on being wealthy But, in the end, you're left only with your deeds to answer for. And that is the time you come to know what is in store" There are various stages in the life of a human. We are born, we grow up, attain old age and at last, leave all the materialistic possessions including our own mortal self behind. The only thing we are left with are our good deeds. On this auspicious day of Moksha/Vaikunth Ekadashi, which is a symbol of salvation and Gita Jayanti let us celebrate "Mahaprasthan"-A book that has strong connections with salvation and the Gita. As mentioned in Bhagwat Gita "A soul which is born, wears a body, and with time, the body dies. The soul moves out of this body, but still is not free, for it is still trapped in the cycle of birth." It is salvation that can free us from the eternal cycle of birth and death. Mahaprasthan literally means a journey towards salvation and a part of it is rooted in the glorious history of Kashipur. The pandavas did their training during their childhood here, gifted Dronasagar as Gurudakshina. Pandavas went to heaven from Kashipur where only Yudhishthir was able to complete the journey. Months back, team Little Scholars, that included our students and the teachers ,started researching the legacies of Kashipur and the students rediscovered the not so obvious stories of this city, the efforts leading them to the creation of "Mahaprasthan". We again stirred our rich past through this research which gave us new a perspective. It all started as a project assigned to us during the summer break, but spilled over till November. The Mahaprasthan journey was not an easy one. It needed a lot of ground work to bring different departments together. Working with diverse subjects was challenging, but it is rightly said "sometimes the journey is more beautiful than the destination". It was the same for us. Undoubtedly, the book took us back to a forgotten era. Mahaprasthan is also graced with some eye-catching artworks, poetic pieces and shloks from the Bhagavad Geeta. It starts with a brief introduction of Devbhoomi-our home, our Uttarakhand. lt later brings out the connection of Mahaprasthan with Mahabharata. The shloks from the Bhagwat Gita are like beacons, guiding humans of every generation. The artworks perfectly illustrate our imagination and not to forget, the lessons from the Mahabharat that enhance its beauty. Kashipur, with its ancientness, has a rich past and we thought of reflecting on it. The result has been this novel initiative in the form of a book, a reflection also of our endeavours and values. We hope Mahaprasthan will alter your life perspective, positively influencing our city .It is said that change is the only constant, but it is equally important to preserve the spirituality within, express our gratitude towards the Almighty and understand the higher purposes of life.
